Roddenberry's take on the early TN...I disagree. Roddenberry's take on the early TNG was way more interesting than what happened later, in seasons 4-7. Even the movies were bad attempts to re-create Gene's vision. TNG seemed to shift back and forth between factions and conflict, it never continued with the moral dilemmas, although it tried, when Picard refused to destroy the borg and in Insurrection. The show became less about big ides and more about big villains.
